I want to put an 89-95 bumper on my truck. What kind of mods have to be done as in bumper brackets. could I modify the stock ones? or would i have to buy and mod some brackets? pics of the mod would be great. Thanks in advance.

Not really sure. Haven't seen it done before. What I would do is go ahead and get the bumper measurements, i.e. the distance between the brackets and the outside dimensions and see if they are close. If they are, then get your hands on an actual bumper and test fit it. If the stock brackets can be modded to work, then go with it. If they won't work, you'll have to buy the newer brackets and probably mod them....

Sorry if I stated anything obvious.

If your are planing on bagging@ some point, you will want the 4x4 fenders,so you will also need the 4x4 bumper, not the 2wd one, won't match the fenders. Also get the 4x4 front brackets( from a wrecker). Work great on my 88,everything bolted right up!!

Nothign will bolt up on these trucks. Run a 2WD bumper. The 4WD ones are too wide for these trucks and have to be sectioned. The 2WD ones stick out like a 4WD bumper would on the newer trucks. You need to modify the stock brakets to work, and cut the bottom of the frotn fenders off to make it work.
