I know certain things like seats and stuff cam be swapped between p/u and 4runners of the same generation. Are the bumpers interchangeable as well?

 

I've seen people do it, but I don't know if its a bolt-on due to the shape of the bumper, at least in the rear. It may take some modding, but I know its been done.

 

i know for a fact the 84-88 2wd and 4wd bumper mounts are different. I could only fit 2/4 bolts in to a 4wd bumper on my 2wd frame. The 79-83 bumper mounts for 4wd are completely different than the 84-88 4wd. not sure if the 2wd-4wd 79-83 frames are the same or if the 2wd have the same mount between generations.

 

i have a 1995 runner bumper on my 94 p/up and it bolted on with no mods
