Ok, I've done lots of searching and picture looking and overloaded. I'm hoping to get some clarification on what fits and why its done.

The 92-95 2wd grille will fit an 85 2wd with no problems.

The 89-91 4runner / 4x4 bumpers and valance will work, but may be too wide for 2wd fenders. How much wider / looks terrible?

What about the 92-95 4runner / 4x4. I know I read somewhere there were other issues with this.

Is the main reason people switch to the 4runner / 4x4 bumper and valance is the taller valance, or is there something else I'm missing.

Any conformation or clarification if I have something wrong would be much appreciated.

 

Ok, with more searching I've think I've answered most of my questions.

One last question though, and I'll keep looking for it. I saw a grill on an 84-88 that looked like it just had 4 or 5 cross bars, but no visible vertical ones. It was chrome. If anyone knows what grille this was I'd appreciate a heads up, otherwise I'll keep looking though all the old posts.

O yea, has anyone ever seen a 84-88 bumper without the rectangular holes next to the license plate? Not the turn signal holes, but the other two in the middle.

 

Found the pic I was looking for, just requested some clarification on it. Still looking for that smooth bumper.
