Have you checked your brake fluid reservoir?

Check the front rubber brake lines that run to the rotors...sometimes they get holes in them & that can cause you to loose pressure.

From what you described, it's either air in the system, (smctoy) bad lines, or worse case, faulty brake master cylinder.

I'd flush, refill, and bleed the system thoroughly, then go from there.

I know how you feel... when my fuel pump gave out, my truck sat on the curb for a week, then mom bent my bumper and brackets trying to get it on the driveway before the street sweeper came, sat there for two weeks.:rolleyes2: Sucks when you don't have the money to take care of your ride, especially if you're like me and this is your only mode of transportation, short of borrowing a back-up (thank God for the Isuzu Rodeo). I'm still paying for my pump, but I don't owe much now. Sorry about your truck, that sucks about her brake master cylinder giving out. If you don't have one, you may want to get a Chilton guide so you can do it yourself and save some money, and it would be good if you had a friend or relative help you fix it, then maybe buy them lunch or dinner as a thank you. Good luck, and again, sorry about your truck...
