Okay so kinda late haha, Im about 6 months into this build and just joined Toyotaminis couple weeks ago. So I finally found time to organize some pics and start a Build thread.

So heres the scoops...Bout the truck from some guy up the road for 1000 bucks plus some old VW parts. (The guy had like 15 bugs, and this random azz yota sittin in his yard..Ran "good" and not to much rust so i grabbed it!!

Here it is that Glorious night 6 months ago~~





The guy threw in 2 doors with wing Windows

 

First thing i had to do was get it atleast HALFWAY DECENT looking....and so it began~~

 

Did some MINOR body work, got it straightened up, and threw on some primer!!

 

Also got the interior all cleaned up and look good =D

 

Did some carb work(came with a webber), changed oil, filter, plugs, vavle adjustment, yanked the CAT, threw on a old Flow40 i had laying around and had this bugga running like a champ!! oh and it already had headers

 

Then a couple months down the road i did some legit bodywork and picked up some "ice cream paint" from Napa!!
(6 cans of spray paint) #uknowdat!



^threw on some 3" blocks and turned the torsions while i was at it.

Oh yah and found some chrome =]

 

Truck looks good! Did you tint the head lights?

 

Then I was like WTF!? I gotsta go lowerrrr....so i flipped my BJ's and pulled my middle leaf.

...bed off=way easier!!!



Cleaned up.Painted up.Wrapped up.

 

....put the bed back on and decided to do MORE body work, and give it a fresh paintjob (4cans this time) ;]

So after about 2 or 300bucks plus hours of labor here we are and this is how it looks now~~




The most expensive thing on my truck is di liiights ;]

Mods for the near future include : 90's grille, HID's, Sounds, DJM Drop Arms, DJM Front shocks, Notch da Azz w/ Monroe Air shocks, and found a cherry rebuilt webber and LC Engineering headers on craigslist(grabbing um tomorrow)...

Sprayed um with "Night Shade" can buy um at O'Reilly's..comes inna can like 15 bucks or so...
