blacked out my corners and tails.I was going to leave them stock then buy clears but down in hawaii everyone has clear lights so decided to black then out.
In the first pic, the rattle can looks like spray paint and not night shade. They look great , but extremely dark.
its regular paint buy i just did a light dust coat. And each time i sprayed them i used a light on the other side of the lens to see if the light still shined through. I tested them and the light is very visible.but i over did the corner lights and the light is barley visible in the day time.
u should have used tail lite tint..its called Nite Shades and u only use on the outside of the lens..

secret tip on blacking out lights.. not saying anything bad about yours, they look good . but i see a lot of spray paint stuff where i am, and have had to take some off at the stealership. but the problem with spray paint is that it's usually not transparent enough.. unless they have a spray made for it that is diluted with a clear or something it usually blocks a bunch of light. i take clearcoat and add just a small amount of black to it, and do a lot of thin coats to build up the clear and darkness gradually. this keeps the black suspended in the clear on a smaller level than small droplets covering the area.. kind of like a candy, but black.. candy over clear tail lights could be sweet too! and then if too dark you can wetsand the area and then buff .. the more you wetsand off the lighter it gets, and the clear still buffs afterwards to a flawless shine.. i haven't yet tried it, but im assuming you could use a flat clear the same way to get a translucent flat black.. but no buffing off (to lighten up) on flat.. obviously not everyone has access to auto paints.. but since it's smaller parts maybe model paint or those aeresol's that you can refill the canister might be an option.. as long as the paint is compatible with the clear.. just my 2 cents, because it's not well known how to do it that way, at least around here none of the other paint guys know about it.. besides the one who told me.. , now it's gonna spread like zombies! -Ben
Yeah is was pretty good but I found some night shade lens tint and redone my lights.Looks way better and the light shines through better too, haha never hurts to try something new.
u should get a picyure at nite 2 c how much they lite up and u should do your turn signals just take off the lens n spary paint the inside with a light coat to get the outside that shiny smooth look
