    whats up toyminis,
well over the winter I acquired a 70 toyota hilux, and finally found the time to get rolling on it. I bought it sight unseen from Oregon and had it shipped to Colorado. This thing is in great shape. my plans are to keep the body mostly stock since its solid, but the frame will see some action, Its going to get a narrowed 84+swap, stock floor body drop, bags, probably a 2/3rz swap blah blah blah. and now the pics thanks for stopping by

to shave or not to shave that is the question I ask. well Ive got the bolt on body parts stripped and ready for poly, but started to think about shaving a few things. The truck is solid so I don't want to go crazy, so these are my thoughts.

    to shave
    antenna hole
fender side markers (not the top turn signals)
    bed hooks
    bed markers
    tail gate reflectors
    cab vents

any one have any reasons I should or shouldn't

Ill try to get pics this weekend I work on the truck at night in a dim one car garage so pics are hard to get

Honestly, no reason not to shave those things, and if you're going for the clean look, I'd say go right ahead. Personally, I think the little markers and hooks and vents are just those little things that add character to these old trucks. If it was a newer truck with these I'd say sure, but with the rarity of these RN10's, it's just something that I'd double think about. Maybe take them off and clean up the lights, paint the vents, and see how they look then? Can't wait to see more pics!

I like smooth bodied trucks . But when it comes to rarity and nostalgia . Rn10 I wouldn't touch the body it has class and style just make it dent free and clean paint .. The hooks and high mount markers the distinct body line are what make this truck stand out compared to the following generations

Looks good! I see you started stripping down the panels, you going to paint them soon?

Also sweet 4Runner, what's all done to it? I have a 3.4 swapped '88 as my main daily driver right now, also has a soft topper like you, just put it on for the first time a few weeks ago and I love the thing! Looks clean man.

Yeah I'm kind of doing this a little backwards, doing the body first its quick and cheap so I have time to make some money for suspension. The bolt on parts should be poly primed and re primed in the next 2 to 3 weeks. for paint I'm thinking that new fj cruised gray that looks flat. With all the trim and bumpers gloss black. I plan on running bigger wheels and tires with the out side sprayed black and the inside wrx blue.

That's gonna look nice, I like the idea of that gray color with the black bumpers and trim. What are you doing for suspension? Also what size wheels and tires were you thinking of doing?

So I'm thinking of using a 84+ frame clip but need some ideas on how to get from rear steer to front steer, and I'd like to use the stock column any one have pics or ideas? The suspension will be bags standard issue stuff up front and triangulated 4 link in back with a sfbd as for wheels that's a good question sorry to be vague but some where between 17 and 20
