Since it seems I pull a truck bed almost every week, I decided to make this thing. It's now made pulling a bed a 1 man project. I built it wide enough for a fullsized truck, but it's only been used for Toyota's so far. The feet come off so longer ones can be attached for a different height truck. It's PERFECT for the little Yota street trucks I'm always doing frame work on. It's the perfect solution for those of us who don't have the luxury of a lift, and it breaks down easily to fit up against the garage wall and is easily transported in a Yota bed. :waytogo:

damn. thats pretty sweet. do you strap to the hooks in the yota beds or do you have a little bolt clamp? like, if you had to lift a bed that doesnt have hooks or stake pockets, can you do it still?

Thats brilliant... and if some of you more capable types want to make one of your own I see using a chain type hoist from say harbor frieght to save some coin.

So far I've gotten lucky...all Yota beds with 4 hooks. :waytogo: I just run 2 ratchet straps and grab from the center. Then use the battery to counter balance.

Here's the great part...that Harbor Freight winch was only $10 more than their cheapest chain hoist. ($65 for the 2,500 lb. ATV winch)

Thanks man, I LOVE this thing...especially when my work is done and I can lower the bed with a beer in 1 hand, and the remote in the other! :clapping:

You are... haha....It's funny when I make something that I've been meaning to make, or is helpful, I have a hard time deciding if I want to sell it or not...:lol:I actually thought about putting it on e-bay and seeing what happens. It didn't cost a whole lot to make, so obviously it could sell for a reasonable price. The shipping on the other hand could suck a little...no flat rate boxes for that..:brickknock:

Honestly I have never seen one for sale. I would say you have a market.

It doubles as a swingset for kids when it's not being used on a bed....2 uses in 1.

:runaway:If you could come up with a way to make it a swing set while you were hoisting beds then I think you would be on to something.
