I am in the process of removing the bed to clean and undercoat it. When I go back is there any upgrade type mounts (rubber cushion or bushing ) as opposed to the old dried out ones that are on there now. I have it ready to lift and so far I have only lost one of the double nuts so i guess I am doing pretty good. any other ideas or tips appreciated

I agree with TRUCK ACTION. Replace the bed mounts with Energy Suspension items if you are going to keep the truck. Mine have been on for 25+ years and still look new.

I used a mud flap from NAPA and cut it in to small rectangles to re place the th little rubber pads on the bed

Are these the ones you were talking about?

Energy Suspension 8.4103 Body - Frame Mount Bushings

I couldn't find them for the 2wd. Are the 2x4 and 4x4 mounts the same?
