ok, im sure this has been asked a million times, i havent had luck on search and am short on time.. looking to do inexpensive drop on my 91.. 2/3 or 3/4.. blocks are fine, but im not sure about just doing the torsion bar thing... what are my options? needing to do this super cheap and this is my daily.. for now on stock wheels, but will be running prob a mustang 17 or 18 something to that effect.. thanks
Truthfully, the torsion bar drop is going to be the cheapest drop you can do up front. It's FREE. If you want to go any lower up front, you can always flip the ball joint (also free). Other than those two options, you can go with a drop spindle (which I don't think will work with the stock 14, I may be wrong ) or control arms. Both of those choices will run around $250+ though.
damn, so i guess theres no cheap 100 kits like they have for s10's... oh well. how do i do the torsion bar thing again? i might just do that and flip the ball joint... i remember my 88 was like that with 3 inch blocks in the ass and the front rode like crap... bouncy as hell...even on 225 55 16 inch mustang wheel/tires
The bouncing is from the shocks and/or bumpstops bottoming out. (Less suspension travel Getting drop Shocks and trimming) bumpstops will take care of that.

Drop spindles work with the stock wheels. BJ flips do not. I had mine flipped with the stockers for a while and the edge of the rim would always hit the LCA at the very end of the bottom of the arm. got some good grind marks on there.gotta go at least 16s i'm thinkin to run the BJ flip.
No problem DB!!! And YotaForce, thanks for the wisdom. I just picked up some drop spindles off Craigslist and I just knew that I was going to have to undo my BJ Flip when I install them. But from what you're saying, my 17s will be just fine.
