    Looking for a '78 longbed
Hey guys, I'm looking at buying a '78 longbed. This was my first car, a truck I bought from my grandfather for $500 when I was 15. The truck was totaled in San Jose, CA a few years ago by the guy I sold it to, so I'm looking for a clone.

I'd like to do bags in the front a rear. I'm in the process of researching the bags that are available, doesn't look like much.

First question, does anyone know how much travel the pic below will give me? I don't need to lay it out, and I'm not planning on body dropping the truck. I would like to have it sit nicely and have bags at all four corners to play around with...

those are helper springs. they are for trucks that tow heavy loads, it helps them not sag in the rear.

You could easily lay out a 78. They have a nicely designed front suspension thats easy to work with. And the cab would sit on the ground without a bodydrop.
