I have everything mocked up to mount. A few issues i have to adress though.

I have the cando specialties mounts. I can make the uppers work for my Airlifts, just use a drill press and make my air ports and bolt holes bigger.

Now for the lower arms im kinda stumped. Found this on MiniTruckin. Should I build a mount similar to this for my lower mounts? because the plate that cando has is setup for a single bolt and the airlifts have the bolt holes on the outside instead of having the single center on the bottom.

Just to make sure. The torsion bars does have to come out right? Ive thought from the beginning that they come off, but my dad seems to think they stay (he has no idea about bagging a truck lol).

Any advice would be nice lol.

    Advice

When welding on the uppers, it would be a good idea to mount the bags to the plates before tack welding the plates onto the frame so you're sure you are not stressing the bag when deflated. Also remember that you'll want to to have the bottom portion of the bag as closer towards the frame. The more closer the bags are to the frame the more lift you get.
Also watch out for the 3rd bolt mounting the ball joint. When deflated, it could rub on the bag. Rubbing is bad. good luck

using a bracket like that will make the bag sit really far out, and that will limit the lift. the upper control arm will hit the upper bag bracket. my bags are mounted straight to the control arm, i welded a 3/16" plate to cover the hole in the control arm.

and yes, the torsion bars need to be taken off.

Torsion bars, coil springs (Tacoma) and airbags all do the same thing I believe.

    thats some good info guys.

    Some more questions.

Is it needed to extend the lower arm out like this?
