I have Altis at present and I am planning to purchase Chevy Volt 2011. Anyone has an opinion? I heard it's true electric and is really fuel efficient. I have been keeping my altis because it serves me well. The Chevy Volt reviews are beginning to come out. There is some strong first criticism, and also some strong compliment. General Motors' first foray into the modern electric automobile and hybrid automobile field is the Chevy Volt. The entry of General Motors into this market segment has been long awaited. Critics contend the automobile is too reliant on its gas motor to truly compete with other hybrids. The response to that claim has been addressed by General Motors, and also the company maintains it is a true electric but has an extended range to complement the electric motor.
I have heard that the volt is only good for 40 miles on a single charge. Maybe that is something that GM has addressed. But at that limit, I can't even get to work on a single charge.
