Hey all...... I stumbled across this site when I was doing a google search on "Toyota Stout" stuff. I picked up a '65 here in Australia about 10months ago now. My plan was originally to airbag it, shoot it with a custom colour and chrome everything that I could unbolt. When I got it home and started having a look at it I found it to be in better condition than I originally thought. Then when I started to do some research I found it to be a really rare truck, so now my minitruck style plans have changed. Just plan to keep it nice and original at this stage. I basically joined up here in the hope of finding some more Stout owners that I haven't managed to make contact with through other forums. Also when I was having a look at this site I noticed that you guys and girls have some super cool rides !!!! Anyway here is my Stout the day I picked it up........ And now it looks like this............
welcome to . . . Hello and welcome to toyotaminis. It is totally awesome that you made your way here, most guys including myself would kill ( intentional strong word ) to have a truck like yours. I think you might be or have the oldest mini on here and we are glad to see and have you here. I cant wait to see more pictures, that AC is unlike anything that Ive seen before ! I bet its really hard to keep that truck original, but, nevertheless, its awesome. Thats what this site is about ( pre - tacoma owners ) but ALL TOYOTA just the same. . . Welcome ! ! ! I love your ride man. I would keep it orginial. just get another truck, 1 to play with and 1 in original condition.
Hey thanks so much guys. I didn't expect such a positive response. In fact I wasn't gonna join up here cos my Stout is unmodified and I figured it didn't really fit in. Yeh I would love to find another one to airbag and keep one original, but the chances of me finding another one are pretty low.
Man I love your Stout I picked up a good one no dents little rust 3r with 50k .Nook told me about time spares might have a slave cylinder and by golly I got one on the way.My Stout is a 67 and some day it will look as cool as yours I hope.Igot mine for 325 and I feel like the luckiest man in the world
