stumbled upon one of the oldest toyotas in australia a 1962 toyopet stout, it is one of the first ten imported (non land cruiser) and the start of the toyota australia dealership. it was unloved unwanted and sitting in a scrap metal yard in north west victoria waiting for it's time to come and is now back in queensland being restored. Thiess a contracting company imported 10 into brisbane queensland and mine was sent to work in central queensland in building roads and coal mining as well as the final stages of the snowy mountains hydro scheme before being retired. it had been brought at an auction and had served many years on a wheat station before the owner passed away and by chance this fool brought it
