Do you have a 89 or 90 22R that came with Federal Emissions, and Air Conditioning? if so can you post pictures of your engine bay? My toy has a 22r with Fed Emissions, that came with a smog pump right where the AC compressor would go. so i need to know what to do, if it gets relocated? i also cant seem to find the AC compressor plug on the electrical harness. I know the inside is all wired up for AC but the engine bay, i cant find a plug for the AC compressor. i called a few places and they say its a different bracket that was used. so i need to know if you have this truck with this set up, and if you do can you post pictures of it. i know on the vacuum diagram it shows the layout for the AC vac lines for the idle up.
i think on the federal truck, the air pump needs to be relocated to the top near the intake manifold, and the a/c pump near the bottom like the 22re's run it. i was looking for this shot back when i had my 90...
through my research this is how it might look still looking for a true 89 to 90 fed set up with a/c. this is from a older truck with a similar set up. my truck does not have a v belt for the air pump. and i have seen older trucks with set ups like this but they use a v belt.
it may not have been a factory option for a fed truck to run ac....... this may be why its hard to find the info on this....
i looked up the vin and it shows it was an option for a fed truck to run A/C,the vacuum line diagram, shows the fed emissions, HAC and AC diagram for it.
another picture i found only difference is this truck did not have the HAC option. but you can see the a/c compressor is mounted up high.
Here is the bracket i was looking for, its now installed and awaiting the ac compressor. and i found the plug under the fuse box, it was taped up, so you could not really see it. has 3 wires, the 2 for the VSV for activation of the fast idle diaphragm and the one wire for the a/c clutch.
