staggered set of dr11's fronts are 17 inch and the rear are 18 inch
    front tires are 215/40/17
    rear are 245/40/18
    Dual bolt pattern - 5x114.3 & 5x100
Guy says they are on a Mr2

The offset may be wrong for your truck. And the width of the rims will have an effect on the fit too. They seem like 7.5 wide possibly.
I would look up on google and try to find what offsets MR2s typically use. I got some 20x7.5wide rims with a -40 offset and they fit my 1992 toyota extra cab just fine. To give you an idea of the offset required. And that is when I am running 2wd fenders. I think you could get away with more negative offset than that also.

That MR2 better be hella boosted with those wide azz tires. I had 235 front 255 rear on my boosted 350Z and still couldnt get them loose. ANYHOW the fact the fronts are 17's and rears are 18's with the same sidewall height 40 Im thinking it would look and react funny and throw your speedo off quite a bit. I dont know the exact math but its almost like having 1 1/4 inch drop in the front versus rear with those rims/tire combo. They look sick though Id do it if all 4 were 17's or 18's

As mentioned, the big thing is the offset. according to their site (http://www.dragwheels.com/product.asp?ID=23) the 17s are -40, 18s are -42-45 which *i think* works

according to my math 245/40r18 is only 1% off compared to a 195/75r14

As for the MR2 breaking loose 245s, keep in mind they weigh a whole 15 lbs and the tires themselves make as much or more of a difference in traction than the width.
