you know the ones with the full size extra cab i believe they were made from 85-88? i wanted to see some clean pics of some, maybe lowered but when i search it says "cab" is too short and just searches custom which pops up nothing or customcab same thing

 

look up "sunset joe" 's build in the 84-88 section... he had a really nice one. there are a couple more in there... look up "xcab"

Think they were called Space Cabs,not the Extra Cab.

we (toyotafiberglass.com) are building the first gen cab replacement right now ..

we have a customer that has a quad cab that is slowly rotting and has graciously offered to let us use his cab to build moulds , so when we're done with the first gen , well be building this ...
I know you guys think fiberglass is sh!t , but the industry has made HUGE advancments (like any other industry) since the 60's .. you should check us out !!

I think SpaceCab was the Isuzu extracab. The Toys with the full rear fiberglass cabs are Custom cabs. I had a 78 that i was going to build but had to get rid of. Not sure about all but the early ones were built by RV companies. They cut and stretched the frame, added a plywood floor and the fiberglass cab.

this is what I wanted to do but my plan was ditch the glass and use another cab to make a 4 door with rear suicides like the old Lincolns

 

We have a ton of Custom Cabs around my parts. I see 2 everyday where I work in a nearby town! All the ones Ive seen are 4WD and have a Winnebago stamp plate on them. We also had a black one in my town for sale about 5 months ago, but it was based off of an Extra Cab rather then a Standard, looked pretty sweet I should have saved a picture. I almost bought one for a 4WD project before I bought my Runner.

 

This is my 88 custom cab. Set up to lay frame on 225/35/20 but she rides on 225/40/18
