i bought the truck with plans of lifting, wheeling, etc. but with as much money that ive lost in the past repairing stuff ive decided to drop it. i havent really looked into it yet. but i want it to be on the ground. so if theres any advice out there ill take in all i can get. and itll be fun to have a project to keep me occupied in my free time while im at wyotech starting next week haha.

    thanks, jake

sell the 4x4 get a 2wd. Don't ruin a sfa original truck by dropping it. You can get a good price for an 84 4x4 as they are a desirable year for wheelers and buy a 2wd truck.

you guys are probably right on selling it but theres not many wheelers around here and the ones that do are into jeeps. havent been offered more than a grand for it and id rather keep t then get rid of it for that. and selling it and getting another truck in a week that id trust to go from va to pa next tuesday will be tough lol

then i suggest you lift it and be happy. its one thing to cut a truck up for the purpose of making it look better/function better, but its completely different to cut up a fairly rare truck like yours to do the exact opposite of what its good for.

where do you live????? I'd bet that if you posted this on craigslist it'd go for a couple grand or better. Yota guys that wheel aren't showing up to the mall to flex on some sick curbs and offer money for a random rig they're busy wheeling. so if they need another rig they'll find it just be patient.
