   wtf, second time ive had this problem, it wont fit in the bracket ! the old one slid right out, and the new one wont go in ! anyone ever have this problem and figured it out ?

   Check the bushings on the alternator ears where the mounting bolt goes through, they may be pushed one way or the other making it wider than the bracket.
