Can you guys post pics of your setup? I have heard a lot of people just get theirs from auto zone/ pep boys. What parts numbers do you use or what vehicle do you guys ask for. Also are you guys using all four? Or just the rears? Thanks in advance
air shocks for a 2wd 82-88. They're about 1" shorter extended, 1/2" shorter compressed (in the real world, close enough) and use the same mounting points and hardware. Monroe doesn't list a set (they're nice cause they have a PDF with mounting specs of ALL their shocks/struts) that's even close to fitting the front. For the front, I have a set of Monroe reflex monotubes for a 90 chevy 1500 2wd v8. again, less than an inch different and about a million times better than anything else available within $100 bucks. Like $40 each from rockauto . valved firm enough for a 4500lb truck but not even remotely harsh because the reflex monotubes are their top of the line models. I've put 3 motorcycles and a half in parts (~1500lb) plus me and wife (~375lb) and it rode great. With the air shocks topped off, the truck was several inches from the bump stops, just engaging the overload leaves.
Thanks for the info! I will definitely get them since they're so cheap. I love this truck already compared to prices to my z32 300zx.
