    It's official, I'm in!
Finally home after MEPS, I need to get glasses to pass the Depth Perception test to get the jobs I want. I'm looking at in-flight refueling and/ or aircraft metal technology (welding, hot stuff like that).
In the mean while, I've sworn in and currently part of the DEP program. "reserve" for now until I get that airforce job I want, Active duty here I come!

Awesome to hear you got in. With the recent economy there aren't many options with jobs that have good pay, health care benifits, and retirement plans. You can't go wrong with the military though. If I decide to go active I'm probably go with the Coast Guard though. I love the water being an island boy! Sucks being here in Afghanistan right now. Good luck and Air Force boot camp is easy compared to my 11b (Infantry) Boot Camp back in 99.:waytogo:

Thanks gentlemen, it was a responsible and mature decision I had to make. I've lived next to McConnell all my life and as a kid, I was really into the military. The past 3 years have been exposed to many friends in the Air Force.

I'll be honest, it's got benefits, but hell am I ready to work for them. Basic training? I'm ready to get those 8.5 weeks out of the way. Hopefully if I do get stationed stateside, it's Arizona or North/ South Carolina.

God bless us who served and serve for the freedom of others, so that others may live.

Nice job sir! I was a cop in the Air Force. (hence the name) I did DEP for about 6 months, then went to boot. word of advice, if you can get in with the "Band Flight" out of the 323nd boot will be even easier!
