I have bags and I've finished the rear, but I don't like the lift I'm getting. What bags will give me more lift but collapse the same as the 2600 bag I have now?? I've looked for bag specs but they only ever give max lift and not collapsed size.

 

you running bag over axle? what brand 2600's you runnin?

 

every 2600 size bag i've dealt with collapsed to 2.75-2.8". i use a 2x3" tube drilled same as a bag as a mock bag while setting brackets, which allows for the slight variation.

 

Running dominator 2600 bag over axel. Ended up finding the specs, they are only 7" lift and 2.8 collapsed. Need to get some 10" lift bags... I'll be ordering new ones soon!!! Might use the the 7" in the front...

 

Go with slams by far my favorite bag ive had. Had the same ones for 4 years an not a single problem. Why do you need the extra lift?

 

Exactly, also kinda sucks when your full ride height isn't very high I've looked at slams but honestly for the cost of em I can't see buying them right now. I might hit Zach up at Universal Air and see what hook ups I can get. I used to exclusively buy and run UA bags. Never had a problem with em. Wish I would just have payed more attention to what I was buying the first time

 

Why didnt you go bag on bar? I never said the extra lift was a bad thing. Just asking why he needed the extra lift.

 

My old bag was lifted about 5'4" and weighed about 100lbs before (I was) shackled and then maintained about 140lbs after. I couldn't tell you the collapsed height cause she was always "inflated" about one thing or another. Oh, and don't believe the sticker price! Sure, it may sound like a good deal, but the maintenance costs are terrible!

 

Want to eventually do a cantilever setup with bags mounted in the back if I did bag on bar I'd have to get or make a new 4 link. Doing things twice as long as it's progress is fun, having to buy things twice is never fun.

 

That makes sense then. Only downfall to over axle is lift. My old truck was the same didnt lift for sh*t
