So after a while of being on this site i have noticed that a lot of acronyms are used, and was hoping to compile a list of them for easy reference. Some of these may seem straight forward, but as long as it helps someone not feel like an idiot, it will be worth it.

    ATF: automatic transmission fluid
    ABS: antilock braking system
    BFH: Big frekin hammer
    BJ: Ball joint
CARB: usually in all upper case refers to the California Air Resource Board (Smog laws)
    DJM: DJM suspension parts
FBI: Fender Bender International (made bumper adapter brackets, but are out of business)
    FSM: Factory service manual
FWIW: For what it is worth
    HID: High intensity Discharge (headlights)
    IIRC: If I recall correctly
    JDM: Japanese domestic market
    LCA: lower control arm
LCE: LC Engineering (performance parts supplier)
    LSD: limited slip differential
    LTB: looking to buy
    MPH: miles per hour
    ODO: abbreviated for "odometer"
    OEM: original equipment manufacturer
    PM: private message
    PS: Power Steering
    RPM: revolutions per minute
    STD: abbreviation for "standard"
    T-Bar: torsion bar
    WTB: want to buy

These are just what I put together in a few minutes, please if you can think of any more, add em to the list!

    Cheers all,
    Justin Danger

Just like a textbook, internet forums should have a "vocabulary" section, hahaha.
I don't think I ever heard the word "stanced" before coming to this site, I still don't understand what it means aside from being lowered (and with your wheels sticking out past the fenders?).

Some other quick ones that come to mind, in no specific order:

    TRD - Toyota Racing Development
SR5 - Toyota trim package. Believed to mean: "Sport" "R-series" "5spd"
    CAT - catalytic converter
    CAM - camshaft
    ECU - engine control unit
    EGR - exhaust gas recirculation
    TPS - throttle position sensor
AFM/MAF - air/fuel meter, mass air flow sensor
IACV - idle air control valve
    o2 - oxygen, oxygen sensor (o2 sensor)
    R&P - ring and pinion
    GTS - Google that shiz
    CL - CraigsList
UTE - "utility vehicle"/truck (term common in Australia/NZ)
    18r, 20r, 22r, 22re - Toyota "R" series engines
