I'm post up my resignation letter that I just posted @ my former club site

So to start , seems no one is willing to post what is happening out here in California with Simple-Pleasurez ! A lot ! And none of it good!
After a lot of thought on the matter, I feel I must state this!
This all started with a new member (pledge) being treat wrongly. He had attended two out of the three consecutive meetings required, the third meeting was canceled!
He attended ,showed @ the next three shows in a row! And had asked @ two of them when the pledge sticker could come off & was given a very rude answer by the president!
Not what I thought was acceptable for any club!
At the third show ,last Saturday nothing was said ,though it was my plan for me & another member that felt the same way , to bring the subject up with most members ,if not all being there! The time never came about, & the show & day seemed fine ,except for the pledge not getting the problem brought to the memberships attention!
Two of us placed in the show & two of the girls ( women), also won raffle stuff! All of us being there for this ! At this time it seems most all of the members ,except for the three of us & two of the women, were left by all the rest of the club ! This was first brought to our attention when we got back to our rides, to find everyone gone! There were it seems reasons for this ,but I personally can not understand why not one single member could not have walked up to any of the three of us & stated that leaving @ that time would be needed!
Any & all clubs roll in together & roll out together! And leaving shows early shows no respect for the host club, or the winners !
Needless to say ,those of us left were shocked!
Upon getting home I called the Vice president, Chuck, whom could not be present, & expressed my feelings & concern for what had happened & all that lead up to this !
To my understanding members where that same night discussing the days happenings in the chat room. Things got real nasty in the chat room & things that should never have been said where, by all members there! Craig was told he would be got rid of as a past member ,Daniel! This all took place last Saturday night after the show!
It saddens me you say what follows! But in solidarity this most be done!
Simple -Pleasurez as lost three members in the last year due it seems the actions of one person! No vote ,no discussion @ meetings, no member input!
Now with this situation, Simple-Pleasurez has lost three more members! Craig, Harold & myself ! All of which have been very supportive of Simple- Pleasurez & it's members!
I've been a member sense 12-15-07, logoed @ our first Toy Drive, almost 4 years!
I would like too @ this time thank Chuck, who is the one who bought me into the club & all the members for excepting me (a old ****),into their club. It has been fun rolling to
shows with everyone & being part of the club! And helping with your rides when I could!
I feel this club IS NOT & CAN NOT be of a family type club with what I have seen happen, & the treatment of it's members!
    A loss for all involved!
A copy of this is being sent to Chuck, with photo's of the logo removal, & all SP items.
The three of us will stay involved & roll to shows together, without our club!
I hope this post will not be removed from the site, as has happened with others!
I intend on posting this @ other sites so the truth of this issue is known!
Contact me by phone or e-mail if needed, as after this post I will no longer visit Simple -Pleasurez's site!

    Sincerely Gay Ellison/Truck Action

That's a bummer Gary.... I use to be part of a big very well known car club in Chicago and we had similar issues and a lot of members split off did their own thing or joined other clubs. As for myself I vowed not to ever join another club. I just roll solo now. To many egos for me. mines big enough :)

I just wanna see cool craftsmanship and talk to guys with similar interest.

Gary It is sad to see a club with quality rides break up. Meeting you and know the person you are I understand 100% for what you did. I have been down that road and understand. I only wish I was out in CA with you and we could start a club with values and family minded. After all we share the same passion for owning and DRIVING or pride and joys. I hope this donesnt tarnish any other friendships you had in the club. I wish you the best of luck and hope to make it out that way again. Be safe and cruise hard.

Tht sucks to hear man. In the club I'm in we roll together leave together after the awards ceremony to pay our respects to the winners even if it's not us. If one person needs to stop we all stop no questions asked. And we are all like a big family. Someone needs help on there ride anyone one of us is down to help out. If you wanna join another club let me know we could always use another yota in eksessiv

Dang man this sucks but i know what your talking about. I have never joined a club before but have rolled with alot of them from truck clubs to car clubs and this seems to happen alot. But the ones that do stick up for eachother and respect the rules dont deserve this. This is why im not sure if i would join one, even though it was nice having people there for you when you need a hand but yet it is nice without all the drama. Plus i dont no any clubs out this way anymore and all my past friends either moved or stoped the whole club thing and dont have time to help anymore. So that is why ive been flying solo untill i found this site. Its like all you guys are here with me when i need a hand, plus most of you would be if you where closer to help. But all and all its sad to hear and ill be more then happy to roll with you some time.Keep your head up man.:waytogo:

Thanks for the response to my post!
The VP called with a concern that my post @ other sites might hurt the annual Toy Drive & the club.
I told him this is not & was not my intention.
The toy Drive is for a good cause so anyone that was or has gone in the past, don't let this issue change that!
Has for the club being hurt , yes it lost way to many members this year & for what reason ?
    Can't change that!
yota4life, did I see your ride @ any of this years events?
May be @ the Cris Marks event?
And I'll roll to any show with you & your club, not in any rush to jump into another club @ this time!
Though time for me is going fast!

May I ask why this had to be made public? Seems like a personal matter to me.

^^^ Because he can? Because bad clubs should be exposed? :duh:

I was going to start a thread of something similar about some things that I witnessed about a club near me. I have always wanted to be in a truck club but the experience I had was bad as a potential petitioner. Needless to say, I have decided not to going a club for now. The club has a Facebook page for this chapter and it so happens that the "West Coast Representative" who seems to be second only to the club founders and happens to be apart of this chapter. Well, first off... being that it was new to me I was expecting to see a great sense of friendship and family and i did see that for the most part. The chapter president was very nice as were some of the other members. The first outing that I was invited to was for a cruise then dinner afterwards. At dinner it was a little weird because I was invited but it didn't seem like it mattered if I was there or not. I sat with my family because we have an infant and the club members sat outside. The club ate together but unless I was following them around it didn't matter. They added me to their group page where I started to see things that I did not like. Well, the "WCR's" first three posts to the group page were threats to the chapter members, saying how if they did not go to a up coming show. He was going to go over the head of the chapter president and kick them out. The last thing that I saw was an threat to a member that apparently had not worked on his truck in a while. I guess he had some family issues or something. Regardless, the "WCR" responded with a comment that if it were his club he would have kick him out long time ago. I was not any of my business since I wasn't a member but I couldn't stand how someone with that kind of responsibility would make such stupid, disrespectful comments. Long story short, I spoke my mind and he didn't like it so I was kicked from. the group page and I have not even bothered to speak to any of them since. Maybe it's just not for me. Or maybe its just that there is too much politics involved or too big of an a$$hole representing the west coast. I am really just looking for a group of people to hang with who share the same interest without all the BUIISHlt!
