i just found a 90 2wd hilux its dark blue and needs some body work for 500 dollars the only problem is for some reason its not making any compression in 2 of the cylinders i was told it was only making 20psi on one of the cylinders and it needs a new engine all together the shop that has the truck was going to charge 1700 dollars to do the work the engine around 1000 and 700 for labor
is there any place i can get a 22re cheaper than that

sorry about not having any pics guys il get sum up tmrw

Here are some examples . . . FYI, my rims were completely scratchless, no flaws, no defects, tires mounted and balanced with stick on weights and filled with nitrogen . . .

Sellers pages, youll find em when ya scroll thru . . .

Although easy to build, for some its easier to buy, especially when on a tight budget, just a consideration of sorts man . . . Dpending on whats up with the motor, you can buy accordingly, easier to add a head gasket and ACC, lots of options . . .

Look up the seller "Japan engines" on ebay. Complete new long blocks for $850... I've ordered some parts from them for my buddies truck and the quality is great for the price!

That truck may be salvagable... Depending on how long it has been sitting. The low compression could be as simple as a bad exhaust valve or head gasket. Worst case scenerio, bad rings, hole in the piston, cracked head...

You just gotta tear it down to find out. Knowing more of the history as to why it was parked will help alot aswell.

it has only been sitting for a week at the dealship parking lot iv seen the boy driving the truck around town forever

but i do need a filler for the roof to shave the sliding ragtop thats about the only thing i need from the truck besides another hood to graft into mine

but yea i mean it could be sumthing simple but it could also be to an extreme of having to buy a new engine because the one thats in it would take to much to fix

for $1700 you could build a monster engine out of the one thats in there with all new parts.

odds are you wont need many parts so i bet for $1k you could be back up and running just fixing the old one.

i would call around to shops and find a place that actually knows 22rs. maybe ask on a local message board like a 4x4 one.
