sup boys, I just got my 1994 pickup a few days ago. it's a little rough but it's a project which is what I wanted. it's pretty much a base truck, has A/C tho which I don't really need in Alaska. my plan was to build my Sierra and get something to drive while that was going down but I got into toyotas and now I'm building one and driving the Sierra. the truck has 237000 on it but after a new front crank seal, oil change new coolant blah blah she runs sweet. plans for the future go something like this: all bodywork/paint at school, some sort of buckets, new steering wheel, some 15x10s, hydro e brake, locker, and I could go on but well see how far I get.

so i got the 3 in drop blocks in today at school. ran into a bit of a speed bump, the hole on the bottom of the block was too small for the head it was supposed to sit on. took them over to small engines and drilled them out no big deal. didnt have enough time to do a torsion drop tho. is a torsion re-key a good idea if im already down there messing with it?

Yes rekey the torsions while youre there. Hit the nuts and bolts with PB blaster or something and let it soak up before you start

so my grandpa has started an auto parts/performance store her in anchorage in 1976, and has owned operated it ever since. i was there yesterday and decided to take a look upstairs where i haven't been in years and I'm glad i did because i hit the centerline jackpot! some of these wheels are so old they were shipped to the shops old address! when i asked him about all these wheels he told me i was welcome to anything up there so i checked all the boxes and found exactly what i was looking for, AUTO DRAGS :meemee: and luckily they're 5x114.3! i scored 2x 15x8.5 and 2x 15x10! the 10s are a little wide out back so I'm thinking of running some kind of flare in the rear, any suggestions? PICSSSS!

Sweet score. I wouldn't worry about any flares, I'd be hunting down a rear axle from a 78ish truck. It should be about 3" narrower than what's in there now. Toyotafiberglass.Com does make a dually type flare for your generation truck though if you're dead set on that route.

i do kind of like the look/idea of a flare on the rear, and toyota parts aren't too common up here so it might be a better route. ill look into those flares
