I just got some new tires and figured I'd post up some pics for ya'll to see. These are before with the 215/70R15's
This is what it looks like now with a 165/50R15 (these are 15x7's btw), and it's now mono leafed. Getting ready for a bj flip tomorrow and maybe lower the tortion bars a bit
For me I would do the tortion drop first and see if it gets you where you want it to be.Have you adjusted them at all yet?
Joe(we go by the same name BTW)do you have a build thread yet?I could not find one for you.I see you have shaved your brake light on the roof already. Now's a good time to get one started.
Nah not yet, I'm a little bit worried about hitting my bump stop in the front if I go any lower though cuz I had it shaven down before and now I'm only a few inches from bottoming out on it
Just found this pic from like 2 years ago. It's stock height with those huge balloon tires it was ugly! haha
Looks a whole lot better man! Good progress. If you are worried about hitting bump stops and bottoming out the suspension you should consider investing in some drop spindles. It will get you 2" lower while keeping the suspension closer to factory specs I.E. more shock travel, stiffer torsion bars, and more room before you bottom out. But for now the BJ flip and torsion bars will work just fine!
Thanks man! I will definitely try to do some drop spindles as soon as I can ! Next I'm thinking about running a 4runner front bumper
