I bought my truck from the bay area about a month ago, waited a long time to find a truck this clean. since i bought it, i did the standard stuff, checked and changed fluids, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, and did my best to work out the little bugs that bothered me, there's still some there, but the count is slowly dwindling.

Plans for it are a smaller campershell, a static drop (probably DJM) on Lexus stocker alloys, got two amps waiting for it, for Hybrid audio convertible coaxials up front, Rockford 6.5 three way coaxials on an AQ 95x4 amp, and two AQ 10"s in a common chamber ported box. Engine mods include a Doug thoreley header, high flow cat, and the stock can. K&N cold air, and considering an LCE street cam.

I'm real proud of her right now though. I went to Tahoe and back on less than half a tank and my bed was so full of camping stuff a that i couldnt see out the back window!! :waytogo:

Good luck with finding it. It took me two months to find this one and i got really lucky that i didn't have to wait for the weekend to buy it. People literally have bidding wars on these trucks.

    very nice find man :)

why is the bumper like that?
I'd loosen the front driver's side 14mm bolts that the bracket attaches it to the frame, and the ones on the fender, and try to raise up the driver's edge. then tighten the bolts to keep it in place. that's what I see.

Thank you sir, i have no idea why the bumper is like that, but i'm sure its the same reason that there are small dings and scrapes all over the truck. I'm glad you confirmed my thinking on how to fix it though. I just need the time to do it because im working part time and am going to school, i rarely get a day off.

I do love my Toyotas for that. My last car was a 1996 Camry, before a lady pulled out in front of me, it had 431k on the odo. I miss the hell out of that car. But now iv'e got this one with 177k.

Yotaforce, I'd grab a can of pb blaster and soak the bolts over night, i think you can try to get by with just the weird bolt assembly from the fender to the bumper. should get you pretty far.

Also, didn't have time to do the bumper tonight, i now have to buy a bushing and seat for my shifter cause my transmission wont completely shift into 3rd or 4th gear (1st, 2nd, 5th, and reverse are fine). I'm glad that my research shows me that all i need are the bushing and the seat (20$ tops) I just have to cross my fingers that that's it.

Oh yeah, and center support bearing tomorrow too.

Not much new on the truck, I got the header in a while ago, it's got an exhaust leak in front of the cat, but i have to change the O2 sensor at the same time. other than that, nothing just driving. Getting all my hours cut at work, trying to find a new job (trying to find a job while being in school ain't fun yo). So the plan is:
    1. find new job
    2. establish presence and make proper income
    3. Throw any and all profit at truck
    4. ?????
    5. Cruise the streets

Edit: also got the bumper straightened. Piece of cake.
