when making a right or left turn my truck makes a low rubbing sound.not all the time. took to dealer, no clue. also Front brakes squeal like crazy.mechanic in mn. said it was because brakes were notg original equip' which they are not. true? thanks
My most favorite of sayings is ( Well its not stock so thats the problem! ) friggen pisses me off . . . Anyways, Are there signs of the brake rotors or brakes rubbing on anything - look for wear marks ( easy identifier ), Are the tires stock ( upgraded or downgraded sizes)?, Truck Lowered? Didja try turning the wheels lock to lock ( left and right "WITH" vehicle weigh to look for binding spots? Heres an easy one are all the grease zerks greased ? Is the stabilizer shock shot ? These are all easy ones, try them out by process of elimination. I know you said it does it when your driving forward, but heres another nail on chalkboard one ( when you back up and turn the wheels - the groan stopper bolt ( suppose to have a plastic cap on it - can sometimes bring a tune to your ears if the caps worn or missing, and I know most all of us toyota fans have heard that one before. FYI, most ( not all ) mechanics dont know what anything is or could be UNTIL " You bring it in and they have a look at it " $ $ $ . . . Save yourself the pain and get some grease on your hands and itll slap ya in the face, it always does . . . GL man, let us know how it goes!
"Save yourself the pain and get some grease on your hands and itll slap ya in the face, it always does" I AGREE TO THAT STATEMENT, AND LITTLE TOYOTAS ARE REALLY EASY TO WORK ON of you any mechanical ability at all,.
