I have a '93' extended cab and I'm thinking of removing the Windshield for painting. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if the Windshield is held in with adhesive and the rubber weatherstrip or if the weatherstrip is the only thing holding it in place ?? My weatherstrip is pretty ratty, so I'll probably replace it.

Get a windshield removing tool.makes cutting the sealant easier!
And it may still crack!

 

I here ya on the cracking. That's why I'm hesitant about pulling it.
