Well got the itch again, been about 1.5 years since i sold my last truck and decided to get another. surfed CL for a few weeks and jumped on this one when it came up. got for a only $1700 91' extended cab 22re 5 speed 126,000 miles Well here she is Two of my old trucks Diesel swap truck High school build
Fixing my Fan, getting all 4 speeds back You can see where the old one broke Time to start the removal of the old decals it did a good job but i defanitly need to give her a bath and cut & buff the paint again
getting all the parts together to change over to the SR5 gauge cluster SR5 cluster from a 4runner v6, re calibrated for 4 cylinder and set the ODO back to zero New speedo cable as mine squeals like an SOB Also have my LED's ordered just waiting on them to come in Also scored some Starion's going to wait for the current tire to wear out before i put them on
Hell of a start bud. I imagine with it being your 5th build things move this fast. I hate those eraser things myself. Not that they don't work, I just can't stand the eraser dust it makes. I prefer pealing them off manually, and using a heat gun if they are stuck too hard. Then I clean off the glue with paint thinner and a few shop towels. Plus depending on how much layers the sun burned off on the clear buffing won't help too much. As you can see the hood is already burnt through to the paint. I would imagine the roof is too.
complete rebuild of suspension and motor, spindels up front block in back switch to 8" rear end with 3.07 gears drop in my Supra w58 in the garage (trying to get close to 30 mpg as it's my daily) Add power mirrors , Windows & locks 93-95 4runner front end (done properly by replacing core support) New paint and seals and other things i am sure If the decals are newer (less then 5 years old) i will use the heat guns but these old crusty ones its just to much of a pain in the but, this is faster even if there is more clean up when i am done, And yes the paint is sun faded pretty bad, but i am going to repaint probably this summer after i gather the parts for A 93-95 4runner conversion so i dont much care
