I am converting my IFS truck to a 2wd prerunner style
it's an 87 so I am looking for the 4wd delete parts used on the 90-95 runners

I am looking for the spindle plugs and caps and the caps for the hubs

    THX!!!

come on guys help me out!
nobody knows of a 2wd runner for parts?

the dealer actually says the parts don't exist, the part diagram at toyota for a 2wd 4runner is the part diagram of a 2wd truck! LOL
the 4wd diagram just shows the cv seals and 4wd parts
but the fsm has pictures of both (no parts numbers) with (2wd) and (4wd) next to the diagrams different parts!

Somebody has these just laying around from swap 4wd into a 2wd runner....

figures I can't parts nobody wants

It can't be all that hard to do really. You can build your own plates to cover the outside or use factory drive flanges. The have a dust cap that clips on to seal the shaft bore. On the inside press the bronze stub bushing out and replace it with a freeze plug. Voila I just saved you cash.

yes I could build my own plates and am considering it... but why when the part already exists???
the factory drive flanges won't work as they have a hole for the cv shaft and I dont want hubs sticking out especially since I want to use the front center caps on the fj wheels I have
I have also thought about finding a freeze plug and some dust caps...
but once again why? the parts already exist and I don't want to search all over trying to find the right size

all of those parts you suggest also cost money... so how are you saving me cash??

maybe you can find those parts and send em my way... that would save me some cash!

I do appreciate you trying to help, but it didn't....

I'm not going to go through all that trouble to "make" parts that already exist...

I spend enough time making things that don't exist, I'm not spending time making stuff that does!

I just need a frigin parts runner that is 2wd and bingo! parts!!!

    thanks anyway!

in the back of the front spindles are two dust covers, they fill the hole left by the missing cv shaft
on the outside of the spindle are two plugs to fill the other hole left by the missing cv
on the hub to replace the manual locking hubs is a solid plate...

    Give me a call

I'll get everything off and text you some pics of it and call you when I get it off. I'm pretty busy next week so I'll get to it as soon as I can.

Well here are the parts Toyota dealer can't find in their parts catalog....

Much easier than making them myself...
Especially the hub cover, it has a bulge to fit the spindle end
