Hello everyone. New member here. And after reading thru a bunch of threads I've decided to join up and post a build thread on my 1988 Toyota pickup. Bought it as a non-running project. And I've had it for about 3 weeks now. So I'm going to post some pocs and info on the work I've been able to do over that time frame. I plan on making this 88 pickup a daily driven drift monster. This is also going to be a low budget build. (Hopefully) looking to keep it at under 3K. So far, we are in the green. Technically the truck cost me nothing. I took it in on a trade followed by my wallet becoming an extra 1300 heavier as part of the trade. I used 1K to get it running. Full engine rebuild. Port and polish LCE adjustable cam gear, performance cam. New valve train, weber carb, full exhaust. NGK wire set with NGK plugs. The truck came with some pretty cool 14in Enkei 2 piece wheels. Super light and clean. Just a little small. I will post a few pics tomorrow after work. Hope you all enjoy the process.
Painted the grill semi gloss black. And did a little flat blue with cast iron splatter on the Toyota emblem.
So I can't find the pics of the rest of the engine rebuild. I think there on the other flash drive but for now, here's a few pics of the engine after rebuild.
