Anyone in the states *southern mostly* know of any places with a full engine rebuild kit for less than a fortune? Rings, bearings, gaskets. Usually the timing chain kit is seperate, but what else might I need?
Ok LCE has a stock replacement kit with pistons, rings, bearings, gaskets, freeze plugs *I think*, and timing chain kit for $300. So far they are the best price I have found.
try looking on ebay. There are a lot of options. enginebuilder has a good set. I recently got one from ebay and every thing was good except they only sent me one side of the timing cover gasket and the oil pan basket was like gum when i tightened it down it squirted out the side. It cost around $120
how far south are you talking about ? if your in fl, theres a good shop that stocks really good, cheap 22r parts. I rebuilt mine with felpro and other name brand parts for the cheap. if your not near me, I would go on ebay and buy the cheapest rebuild kit, and a felpro gasket set for 60 bucks.. worth it.
Found the rebuild kit for a lot cheaper on Ebay and going to get the felpro gasket kit... Next: Anyone know if someone sells a valve spring, guide, retainer, seat kit for the 22r?? Might as well replace all of that also.
