ok took 22RTE out of truck yesterday. PITA!!! Never played with forced induction before. Just how hard is it to do the 2RZ, or 7m swap? I already have a Leen Steed top mount CNC manifold for a t3/t4 setup but not sure if I wanna go that route. With the 22RTE Im limited to how much boost i can really use, without going stand alone fuel and spark management. Factory ECU is very limiting with fuel cut . wont see more than 170 to 180 HP before it goes south on me. Stand alone is very exspensive (Megasquirt PITA learning curve) . SDS cha ching !!! Not to mention all the guys on 22RTE site say head cannot handle boost well either do to only 10 bolts securing head to block. 2RZ handles boost well, and 7M has more power and torque NA, not to mention 7MGTE being boosted from the factory. See a lot of guys running the 7M setup but not too many 2RZ. I need to keep reliability since this is my parts delivery truck. So any and all input would be helpful . Cant seem to find anything on 2RZ swap except into 4X4. How dificult are either of these swaps? Wanna stay Toyota powertrain. No I dont want a V-8 !! I own a tool and die shop and have the tools and skills, just not the knowledge. Come on people chime in !!!! Wanna get this truck back on the road !!! Starting my body work allready. Would love enough power to blow my Titan off the road !!!!
