1984 2WD Pick-Up, 4 speed. Missing front fenders, grill, and headlights, and no radio. New ignition switch, distributor, air filter, water pump and door speakers. Have a brand new (spare) oil filter still in box. Starts up like a charm every time, and drives anywhere and everywhere (figuratively speaking, it's a 2WD, I haven't off-rode it yet). Asking $500 for the whole truck, buy it and fix it or just use it as parts, will even throw in a battery! Or I can part the damn thing out since no one seems to be interested in a running and driving vehicle for cheap. From what I have been told, this truck doesn't have as much rust as most do. ____ Here's what I hope to get for parts, but prices are negotiable: *running 22R engine (complete - 236k) - $400 *4 speed manual tranny (don't know which one, I assume it has 236k) - $200 *4 speed driveshaft (for non-4x4) - $50 *6ft bed - $175 *rear diff - $150 *glass - $20/door, $20 for front (cracked), $50 for rear *steering gear box- $100 *ignition switch - $45 (still brand new) *frame (no rust or damage) - $250 Contact me about things you may need. Willing to break engine apart if you need the cylinder head, camshaft, crankshaft, manifolds, etc., BUT it will be pricey as it will reduce the overall value of the engine.
how is the steering gear box? any play in it at all? may be interested in it.. but shipping might kill that idea lol
How do I check for free-play? Unlock steering wheel and "jiggle" the wheel? As far as I know it's fine. As for shipping, where do you live?
yes. with mine i can move the wheel a decent amount before the truck would start to show any signs of movement im in las vegas. 89149
Mine I unlock the wheels and it feels like it kind of "wobbles", but the tires move in correspondence the "wobble."
