What's up fellas? I picked up an '82 around this time last year. 4 speed 2wd, horrible exterior, ugly interior, with the original head unit lol. It's just been sitting in my shop as I've been busy with work and other project. Ok it's just been sitting because I've been lazy. Any who, here she is in all of her current lack of glory.

First day of seeing it in sunlight under my ownership

Dug into the body to see how much body filler I was working with

After a lot of body work with the final skim coat

A mistake of putting the 17's I originally had on my '93 xtra cab.

This is just a side project which will hopefully end up being my commuter, parts hauler/delivery truck for the shop, and part time canyon carver when my s13 is having a temper tantrum. Hopefully I make you guys proud lol.

As for plans; first is obviously remove the bed, spray it one color, spray on bedliner, and install. Following would installing another carb, which I have brand new. After which I would swap wheels to something smaller lol. Then finish with lowering it a decent amount.

After looking at the different lowering options that also help with ride height for the rear, I believe I'll be settling with Belltech 3" lowering springs with a 1" or 2" block. What short stroke options do I have for the rear struts?

As for the front. For the time being I will probably just crank the torsion bars until finances allow an 84+ swap and drop spindles.

    Cheers!

The rear section of the driver bed had a ton of body filler. So the a good sized rectangle was cut out and replaced with a section made from some hood that was laying around. This is just one section of the bondo lol.

Honestly getting filler that thick was an art itself LOL. I didn't even know that was possible.
