Here is the build thread dedicated to my 1982 Toyota Long bed

Build thread you ask? hahha yes I have become a victim of the phrase "Snow Balling".

Plans with this truck is to do as much as possible with my own hands, unlike my other truck which I have done little work on myself. I will stick with an old style theme. Suspension; Air ride. Exterior; Stock panels (not shaved) bare metal or a suede paint. Raised bed floor with a tilt bed. 79-81 Front end. Wheels/tyres; Stock with whitewalls. Motor; Stock. Interior; Restored stock, hidden sound system.

    82 Hilux SR5 looooong bed

    Near stock original condition

    Left Hook

    22r Petrol

    185222 Miles = 298085 Kms

    New paint

Minus 18s (on ****ty 16s with snow tyres)

Here is the latest on my daily

I picked up a set of genuine USA Minnesota licence plates, they even have rego stickers to! Minnesota was the first place of registration for this truck. So I'm taking it back to its roots so to say. I would love to just ditch the NZ plates and wear them full time

Also I have finally collected all the parts I need for the 79-81 front clip swap. Thanks to Matt (rxtoy) for finding the lights & buckets at pickApart.

Below I have a new grill to match (2nd grill in the pic)

Along with the bumper, which I have stripped back to metal. It appears fairly straight. For now I may hit the above parts with some fresh jet black to match the body and down the track I would like to have them chromed.

Not sure where to look for them in the US

They are called a "missile" style head light cover

    coolness.
Found a set with a small skull in the middle that will go with my 81's theme :)

Your 82 will look TONS better with the converted front :)

I was going to do a phantom on mine, but the front looks so good done up right I'm just going to trick out what i have.

    Sexy trucks you have there!!!

Next on the cards is to get the old style (82 model is still on) bumper straight and mounted. I may leave it bare metal and clear it.

Then do the full glass swap and tackle the bloody surface rust
