    so whats the diff?

'81 was the first year for the 22r and the risistance is lower for the '82-'88 ignition coil (0.4-0.5 ohms v. 0.8-1.0 ohms for the '81). whats the thing that piggie backs the coil called?...ignitor? they look very different.

the distibutors look about the same.

so which should i use to replace my point system on my daily?

Take the one off the blue 81. Take the dizzy and the ignitor/coil combo. All you have to do is power the 1 wire going to the ignitor plug with a key on and cranking on power source that obviously turn off with the key. I have mine on a 73 so I think my wiring is different.

ya just take the coil and throw it away, same with the whole dizzy assembly, take the dizzy and coil/ignitor setup off the blue 81 and put em on the 77

Sorry, you Mean the point Type should. Go in the the trash? I would like to keep the blue pickup runnin. What principles would prevent me for swaping them?

    Thank you for the advice.
