    Hello
Was wondering what's the best alternative to torsion bars up front. Mine is a 2wd without springs. Just shocks and torsions. I've comply removed the torsion bars to get the required height, but its a petty rough ride. I would like to stay static. Is there a possible coil option? Or swap from another year?
    Any help is appreciated, thanks.

coilovers from a 69 era camaro from QA1 is a good option. curious but why did you remove the torsions? you could do a front 88+ suspension swap and run all the lower control arm and spindles for the later years and get a nice quality ride out of it.... just sayin. look up HOSHPOSH's build on the forum under the build section. he is pretty dumped with this swap setup and upgraded torsions.

Thanks. I'll check out his build.

I had torsions cranked pretty low and smashed them on a gas station tank cover and ripped the back torsion bracket off. Then i replaced and re-key them higher but the rear brackets still sit lower than the front engine brace and the trans brace. Which means any kind of bump in the road is going to cause problems for the rear torsion arm... Holder....bracket?
    Anyways...

i would up your preload even higher. with a good adjustment those keys should be nowhere near showing from the bottom of the xmember.

if you do still wish to go with an alternative, the qa1 coilover kits from streetacos.com would be a good option for the front. this will delete the need for the torsions.

I have an 88 2wd with the full front suspension available. Let me know where you're at. Never ditch the torsions you can make things work.
