Yes. might be a bit of a stretch, but well within the general manufacturer's recommended wheel widths. I run 235/45's on my 9.5's.
sigh, no dont run 225/50 on a lowered truck, i posted why in one of your wheel question threads unless the wheels are sunk in
I got 205/40/16's on a 7.5" wide wheel. There is a TINY stretch, but it's just perfect. I have 215/60/16's on the rear (still 7.5") and they "balloon" a tiny bit. I'm sure 225's on a 8.5" will be perfectly fine.
that was with the torsion dropped all the way. my truck is raised higher than that, obviously. no rubbing on the sidewall in the few times ive bottomed out on a ditch or what not. Works great.
