79 torsion question

    I've tried everything to break the bolts loose my question is can i cut the bolts out and replace them so i can lower my truck

    Try heating them up. Might loosen them up.

    careful when you cut them. its guna shoot out at you

    On my 83 which is similar i believe they were 17-18mm. I had the same problem with my bolts. I took them to my tire guy and it broke them loose for free. He even said it took him a while and eventually his air socket. I would suggest that option before you cut them out. Much less hassle in the end. Good luck as well

    PB Blaster overnight and some heat. And try a cheater bar on the end of the wrench. I wouldn't advise cutting them out.

    Cutting them would be dangerous. Use a penetrating oil and a cheater like said above. They are a pain. If that isn't working, get an impact. Either take it somewhere or rent one.

    ok ... DO NOTCUT THEM

    THEY HAVE JAM NUTSON THE TOP OF BOLT MAKE SURE THAT YOU BREAK THEM LOSSE FROM EACHOTHER FIRST..

    But as said above try using some heat and then quench them with some water ... but get some new bolts if you go this way..

    I tried heeating them and the nuts wont move and trried cleaning the treads

    dude here is a simple way how to do it get a 19mm wrench on the top of the lock nuts spray hella oil then get a breaker bar with a pipe at the end of it and go at dude i this should get it...mine were rusted on shut and i still go it loose lol

    I finally broke them loose today with two cans of liquid wrench and alot of blood
    i will post some pics some time this week
