ive been working as much as i can recently trying to get this truck lookin lyk a truck again lol and yesterday i almost cut the top off for my roof chop but then ran into a problem. I found out that the roof, front windshield and rear wouldnt be a problem but the door glass is tempered making a huge problem! the tempered glass cannot be cut down to fit the new shape after i cut and resize the door. so i thought about having 2 made but soon found out its way to expensive. so i resorted to plexy but it would scratch really easily and look like crap. so the most recent thing i have thought of cutting out the window channel and moving the entire window/run channel forward and then welding in like a B pillar extension on the door to fill the gap! please help me out if u have any ideas i would really appreciathe it thanks

well you will have to quarter the roof. it will need to become longer and wider to allow for the angles front to rear and side to side to stay the same. you could just mock the door glass being 2" from closed and make the frame fit it that way. and possily extend the rear to compensate. the windsheild can be cut. and the rear glass can have its entire frame moved down keeping the stock glass. you can modify door glass but it has to be done very slowly. a belt sander or a sandblaster, then sander...are about the only ways to do it. and it takes alot of time or it will break. id say find an extra door window to anything to test yourself on. i live in lynnwood and could come take a look sometime and help you out.

Yeah, Bernie would be a good person to talk to for sure (although I don't think he has his door glass yet). I have heard sometimes you can angle the windshield for a stock glass chop and still get away with using the stock door glass since the angle is still close to the original. I don't know if that's the case with your model. That's a sick project you got goin! You should check us out over at bodydrop.org! Maybe we'll have to change your name to sittingonrocker. :D
