What are you trying to do? Vented rotors? Or are you planning on going big? Big brake setup is not easy, but I found the headache is well worth it And to your question, Im counting on no. 8inX 0.5in rotor that has the specific hub design. Not likely.
75-83 spindles and brakes are more or less the same. 75-78 and 79-83 just need to swap side to side to orient the tie rod arm of the spindle properly. If you're looking to upgrade from the crappy stock solid rotors, theres been quite a few good write ups.
