Truck died on the highway, 0 reading from contacts in distributor cap via ohmmeter/multi, no spark coming from new ignition coil. Replaced rotor, cap, ignition wire. Noticed that the car sparks only when I quickly go from key turn to full off.

Next troubleshooting I'm thinking is igniter or looking for a blown fuse somewhere, or it's shorting out. Any thoughts?

humm what do you mean from on and off. will it will fire once from coil or a given spark plug you choose

if the timing chain is busted and you have this issue. it will sound like **** wail cranking and the valves are bent, and if so damage has been done already

I'll check that. Tested coil again tonight with Multi.. Within tolerances but I can hear sloshing if I shake it... Shouldn't hear sloshing right? Praying to god it isn't the Ignitor... $230.

I don't think it's timing chain. Cranked it while trying to jump start last night, just not firing. Sounds normal.
