I degreed the cam to a centerline of 115.
The first found was at 107. In the LCE video he advances the centerline to 104 after he found 110. I'll find out if it's too much when we finally get it running. I didn't get any cam info with this head I bought but It's pretty simple so it won't be much to play with it and daily it in. I'll need to buy a cam with info in the future tho.

I go for a double hernia surgery next week so as slow as I am, I just got slower. We'll get there tho.

Scored some seats for the truck. Posted OfferUp 3 years ago. Civic seats. Pressure washed to perfection.

My son's pulled the seats from the truck and put them in the 79 Celica we just picked up. I couldn't help it. $600 runs and drives. New clutch. I going to teach all the kids to drive a stick on it.

If you are going with ARP studs (which you should with a turbo) you should get the 20r valve cover. They were made for dual row chains, and have plenty of extra head room for the length of ARP studs.

...They are also much sexier than the 22r(e) valve covers

Yep ARPs. Did this to a prior build as well.

I have a few 20r covers I think the RE covers look better than those myself.

dude, get a little excited! you don't have to be such a downer.

Time is the true test, but if there are things you don't think will last, you have to consider your options. Do you just want something to run for now and have to rebuild again and again, or do you want an engine that will be reliable?

Dude look at that motor! I'm am a little excited. Is my voice to monotone for you? Should I jump up and down?

Yes time to see what an old block can take. Just a test. Just for fun.
Like I said we'll build a proper block at some point in time. I have no problem fixing, replacing, rebuilding, or bolting a head to a block. Not hard. I have time. Reliability will come later on this thing.

    Options considered.
