Well I'm stup and had posted my 77 in the pre 75 section. Wow. Let's try this again.

    77 pickup
Rusted body panels that have 20 year old Bondo in places.

Plan is to lower some and turbo RE.

    W58.
    22repreformance turbo pistons
    Gapless rings.
    Steed speed turbo manifold.
    Turbo lines.
    Aquired so far.

Tucked 77 headlight and signal wires in the front fenders. Tucked original 77 fuse box behind dash. Making a flat custom cluster panel.

    Brake booster delete. Soon.

Modifying cross member now for the w58.

Buying 86 4runner to do complete wiring swap for the RE mega squirt T. Probably put the 20r in the 4runner and do propane in it.

Finished and powder coated grey so far are,
The plenum, intake, valve cover, fuel rail, bellhousing. Will do the motor mounts and other stuff black.

Plan is have the engine bay nice. Engine wise. And leave the truck an ugly turd. Could be pulled later for anything else.

Anyway I'm in the right section now.

I'm thinking of bolting a plate to the cross member for the w58 that way for any reason I want to go back to the w50 I can.

    Sounds like a fun build!

When I did the 7MGE-T in my first 78, i used a piece of 3/8 flat stock to make the cross-member for the w56 i had put in it. I just cut it to the length I needed and welded mounting tabs from the piece of 3/8 that i cut off.
    Simple and effective.

We have bought and sold an 87 4runner.
Pulled the motor with good clutch, clutch line (needed a newer one. Hilux line was bad), fuel tank, every bit of wiring off of it, and some small stuff like the head light buckets, lights, and mirrors for my 4runner. Main reason for this buy and sell was the wiring. Thought I had it already but was shy of complete. So with the fuel tank and complete wiring of engine and dash the mega squirt will be a breeze.

Holy hell tucking the wiring from that pig into this little dash is chore. Almost.

Found a 22rte head online and bought it along with a ton of other stuff to get this thing going.

Think I might put it together with this stock RE block 180k on it and the T head. see how long it lasts before building the block with the T pistons. Whatcha think?

Still need to address my brake master. Saw is running now. So soon. Dash panels, still thinking about them. Trans cross member, might go the flat stock route, maybe not. That can wait for now.

77 harness and 87 4runner harnesses stuffed in the dash. Need to finish some things like jumping the AFM connector and securing it for mega squirt. Plugging in injector resistor delete. Running the 87 fuel tank wiring. I need to pull the bed to install this 87 tank... I'll get there. and more I'm forgetting.... IMG_20220328_193701~2.jpg

Nice, can't even see that intercooler :waytogo: Too bad the hood pins hint at upgrades under the hood though

Looks like you have the LCE adjustable cam gear, how do you plan on calibrating that?

I'll find my true tdc by degreeing the cam in and then I'll retard 5 or more.
