im thinking about selling the truck. Me and the girlfriend are breaking up, im moving back to the bay area, so I think i need to get only one project truck to work on, and thats gonna be the stout.


The truck for sale is a 74 hilux with a 22r swapped in. It has a w58 trans outta a supra with an 8" rear end with 3:07s. This truck drives awesome! Anyone that has ridden in it loves how long the gears are. The 22r of course has no smog equipment on it since the truck is PRE SMOG in cali! Also has a weber, custom exhaust and ive been tuneing the motor as best as possible. Im a mechanic so this motor has absolutly 0 oil leaks as well.

The interior is grey cloth with cross stitching in it.

Im looking for 4k since its a pre-smog yota. You could drop a 1uz, any v8 or whatever in this truck and Cali cant tell ya what to do.

edit: that nasty plastic mirror is gone, has a sweet rusty old school round mirror thing now, and also has a sweet wink mirror for the visor, truck kicks so much ass i wish i wasnt selling it

oh ya i forgot truck also comes with a new radiator ( i wanted to upgrade it but havnt gotten around to it yet ) comes with another set of upper and lower ball joints. I replaced all the front end stuff already, i just got extra crap so if something broke i wouldnt be down. Also comes with the stock 4:10 3rd member incase someone wants to swap on bigger rims or doesnt like the gear ratio or whatever. Also has 2 weber carbs for parts as well. I havnt had an issue but i dont need em after the truck is gone. Thanks

oh i forgot, i have a 20R head that can go with the truck too. Heads needs decent amount of work to be useable, but nothing crazy. you will of course need to machine the head to make it fit on this block, but its a beast if you make it fit with some side drafts. Sadly another part of the truck I never got around to modding

ya its not that down here. We have smog here in Cali, pre smog vehicles yota's are harder and harder to find down here...

 

Smog exempt vehicles are a good way to make an assload of $$

 

If I had the $$ I'd probably offer you 2grand. I've never seen one of those trucks go for that.
