got the pics you emailed me awesome job so you just mounted the springs inside the original set to make the rear ends closer? does the second axle still have the diff? any plans to make a mount for a transfer case to the front of the first rear end and hook a d/shaft to the second rear axle that way you could lock the second axle in when needed like a real big rig can I have so many ideas now I was just going to do a tag axle but a powered second axle sounds so much more fun [twin axle 4 wheel burnouts anyone] if you used a carrier bearing mounted to the front axle your could power to the rear one, use a front end from a 4wd to mount the diff off to the side with a rear axle diff in it [locker of course] and set the transfer to route the shaft over the front rear axle [4wd too] then your rear axle could be set up to have hydraulic steering for those tight turns [ever seen a concrete truck turn a corner] oh! the dreams ill have tonight

yes my rear rear is still a full axle and yes i do have a transfer case ready for install and yes you have the same idea i had except my t-case will be mounted to my front rear axle so it can move the a 2 piece rear drive-line will be built with a carier bearing

t case going to be cable op I guess then I was going to get a flat t case cross member made and hang it right behind the cab then make two rear driveshafts but if you use a zuk case and mounted it to the axle that would be a lot simpler my plan was a double transmission adaptor then a zuk case behind that so you can have a super low gear available for pulling but with that v8 that u have you don't need that but im staying 22r and its going im my stretched 78 for towing my other yotas [drifter/crawler/ratrod/boat-yes you read right I plan on putting a 22r in a boat eventually]

looks great. I really like those '73 light insert/grille pieces. Wish my '77 had them.

yes a powered dual rear axle can be done, which reminds me I saw a hilux camper (not a chinook) on craigslist up here with two rear axles. would have been cool to convert it to an ultra-long bed.
